Veneers are thin layers of restorative material placed over the surface of a tooth. Veneers can be used to either improve the look of your smile, or to repair a damaged or chipped tooth. Veneers can be made of either porcelain or composite materials. These materials are designed to function and look like your teeth. They are bonded permanently to your teeth with a resin cement, in essense, fusing with your existing teeth. They look and feel like your normal teeth. Veneers are a great non-invasive way to restore damaged teeth or improve the quality of your smile.

The Family Dental Center uses traditional porcelain veneers but also offers LUMINEERS BY CERINATE. Lumineers are a brand of veneers that are contact lense thin and often do not require any additional work to apply them to your teeth.
